John Bruce successfully defends wrongful death case

Attorney John Bruce obtained a defense verdict on behalf of an internal medicine physician in Suffolk Superior Court, in a case involving allegations of delay in diagnosis of melanoma. Plaintiff alleged that the defendant, who was treating the patient for addictions with Suboxone and other treatment modalities, failed to detect the presence of an abnormal-appearing mole. The case involved legal questions about the scope of a physician’s duty in these unusual circumstances. After a seven day trial, the jury found for the defendant physician.
